The R4 Tempo Overcurve by Fi'zi:k combines classic aesthetics with advanced construction techniques. This shoe features a resilient polyurethane laminated material over a comfortable mesh, providing long-lasting foot support. The secure closure is powered by a microadjustable BOA IP1 dial in an Overcurve pattern. The Overcurve construction wraps around the ankle, following the natural alignment of the ankle's bony protrusions. This results in an asymmetrical shape with the throat of the shoe curving over the foot from the outside to the inner side. The R4 outsole strikes a balance between comfort and pedalling efficiency, making it suitable for various cycling disciplines. It has a low profile and is structurally optimized with 15% infused carbon fiber for added stiffness. The outsole also provides efficient ventilation and internal channelling for temperature management. The cleat positioning is slightly further rearward compared to traditional settings, optimizing pedalling efficiency and reducing knee compression.
